Many of the urban problems we face today come from "White space" in the process of urbanization. The unprecedented high-speed and large-scale urbanization process inevitably leaves a lot of "White space" between the newly built industrial and residential areas which have become city fragment that lacks vitality.

The entrance greenbelt of Jiahong Community is located at the junction of the town community and the industrial development zone in the center of Jinqiao Town. The torsion of urban texture in residential and industrial areas forms a triangular urban gap, namely a typical urban fragment.

The irregular green space is only used as a back door of the community due to its remote location. The square outside the community closure is difficult to reach, and the facilities inside the closure are also difficult to use. The courtyard of the residential committee office building, as the entrance to the community, is often occupied by parking; the residential committee activity room shows people with a hard and closed facade, and the surrounding green space is so deserted that it is difficult to enter. The edge, closure, and isolation of this fragmented space make it difficult to gather popularity.

The core strategy of the renovation design is to activate the existing spatial resources by minimizing the precise intervention to adjust the existing spatial streamline relationship. In the transformation, a carefully arranged winding corridor is placed in the venue. The winding corridor on the one hand adjusts and redefines the boundaries of the community, and forms the path for the residents to return home, on the other hand re-weaves several active venues that were originally loosely separated and had height differences with its soft figure. Meanwhile the moving lines of the residents' homes are naturally introduced into them.

The winding corridor is described as a set of space facilities in this design. The winding corridor completes and defines the surrounding activities, and at the same time integrates into different passages and becomes its personalized spatial features. The winding corridor thus embossed the green space into an organic space-related and well-defined complex space.
